# Hölder conjugate


Two real numbers (possibly infinite) $p,q \in [1,\infty]$ are said to be **Hölder conjugates** or **conjugate exponents** iff #m/def/anal 
$$
\begin{align*}
\frac{1}{p} + \frac{1}{q} = 1
\end{align*}
$$
where $1$ and $\infty$ are taken to be Hölder conjugates.
